Meta Muse: What It Is, Is It Free, and How to Download It

You keep hearing that Meta Muse can book a table, compare prices and answer email for you, but it is hard to find a straight answer on whether it costs money, where to download it and whether it works in your country. Below is only what Meta’s own pages and launch coverage say, read on October 29, 2026. Where nothing has been announced, we say so.
What is Meta Muse?
In its September 8, 2026 announcement, Meta calls Muse a personal AI agent: you tell it what needs to get done and it does the work. The main points:
- It runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated virtual machine in the cloud with its own browser, and keeps working after you close the app.
- It is powered by Muse Spark, Meta’s own model.
- You talk to it in the Muse app or directly in WhatsApp.
- It asks before sensitive actions like sending an email or making a purchase, and it cannot see your passwords or payment methods.
Is Meta Muse free?
Yes, with a limit. Meta’s help page on Muse subscriptions says Muse is free with a usage limit. When you reach it, you can upgrade or wait for the limit to refresh. There are two paid plans:
In Singapore, The Business Times reports plans from S$22 to S$139 a month. The help page also says benefits may vary by region and account.
How to download Meta Muse, and where it works
The announcement lists three ways in: the iOS app, the Android app and muse.ai on the web. To subscribe you must be 18 or older, sign in with a Meta account (you can create one with Facebook, Instagram, an email address or a phone number), and be in a country where Muse is available.
Canada is listed on muse.ai, and Japan launched on October 23 per Meta Japan. Meta’s help page says Muse is still in limited testing and is not available in all locations yet.
What has not been announced yet
- Launch dates for Europe, the UK, Latin America, China and other markets: not announced yet.
- AI glasses: the announcement says “coming soon”, with no date.
- Muse Confidential VM and Shop Pay: described as “later this year” and “coming soon”, with no date.
How it differs from Grok Bot
Both are agents that work for you on a computer in the cloud. Muse has a free tier, while Grok Bot starts with the Premium plan of The X Subscription at $30 a month. Muse is built for everyday personal tasks in its app, on the web and in WhatsApp. Grok Bot comes with a terminal and files, desktop apps, and several bots that can work together.
